MISSION STATEMENT – KENDRICK HOUSE:

To provide accommodation for the elderly in a Christian environment which is affordable and secure – we see ourselves as being an efficient, integrated, caring home for the elderly and their families.

More Information:

The Home was opened in 1967 and named after Sergeant John Kendrick, who was one of the first Methodist Local Preachers in South Africa. It consists of the main House that is home to 67 Residents, in 1986 12 life right cottages were built in the grounds, and in December 1998 12 one bedroom life right apartments were added.

There are 41 Staff, many of whom have been at Kendrick House for more than 10 years. These dedicated people ensure that our residents are loved and well cared for.

Situated at nr 11 Pittosporum Avenue, Thornton, we are close to the 7/11 Shopping Centre and the Thornton Methodist Church and easily accessible from Thornton Station.
