From Tashi Tagg, daughter of Elsa Lampropolous – 14 April 2021

My mom’s move to Kendrick House in March 2018 has given her a whole new lease on life. She was living by herself previously and suddenly needed assisted living after a fall. Kendrick House has given her top-notch nursing care, a strong sense of community, constant company, new friendships and fun times. All of the staff care for her with love and understanding, which brings me immense peace and happiness.

Thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart!

From Lindie White, daughter of Martha van Heerden – 07 April 2021

To all staff at Kendrick House: When my mom moved to Kendrick House in 2015 because she needed more assistance, many were worried that she wouldn’t adjust. Despite several health setbacks over the past few years, however, our family has been so relieved to see how much she’s grown to love the staff and how much they obviously care about her. During the pandemic staff members went beyond the call of duty to assist her in attending several important meetings using electronic devices – something that would’ve been impossible without their sincere interest and patient attention. Thank you, Kendrick, for helping us to make sure our mom is looked after in her twilight years.

From Siri & Laurence Renwick, family of Derrick Renwich – May 2020

DERRICK RENWICK WAS A RESIDENT OF KENDRICK HOUSE FROM 15.11.2016 TO 03.05.2020 (4 ½ YEARS).

Dear Staff at Kendrick House,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Every single one of you have played an important part in our father, Derrick Renwick’s last years of life at Kendrick House.

He came to make Kendrick House his little home from home. He felt safe and taken care off. A huge thank you to all the nursing staff especially in the last weeks. Thank you to Sister Jones, Sister Reed and previously Sister September who worked tirelessly to encourage my father in all aspect of his health. A deep gratitude to all the nursing staff who as a team made life a little more comfortable for Dad during his last weeks.

We know he had his own mind, and at times he could have been a ‘tricky’ character to deal with. Thank you for your patience and dedication. We are sure you also managed to have a few good laughs with Dad as that was his character…to enjoy life and to enjoy the people around him.

Kendrick House is made up of so many moving parts, and each part working to keep the whole working in just perfect order. We want to say a deep appreciation to each member of staff who works at Kendrick House for your tireless dedication to residents and to management for keeping the wheels turning even in times such as Covid 19 which make things extremely difficult.

Thank you everyone, it has all been very much appreciated.

Warmest wishes.

From Maria

It is with mixed feeling that I tender one months notice on behalf of my Mom, Cynthia Grace. We all feel that Mom’s health has improved so much that she needs a little more independence. Please know that the kindness and tender care she received at Kendrick House will never be forgotten. We sincerely hope that should she need to, she could return to Kendrick House

With warm regards & Best wishes for the Festive Season.

To all at Kendrick House

I would like to sincerely thank the Manager and her team – the nursing, housekeeping and kitchen staff (and don’t forget the gardener) – for all their love, kindness and caring that they displayed to Ma, and all, who stay in this fine home. Our mother really came out of her shell, as it were, when she came here and it was amazing to see, how she made friends and enjoyed herself.  The happiness here shows on everyone’s faces, and for that we salute you, Kendrick House.

With Kindest Regards

From Jean, Allyson and Coral
